This is where all the action happens. Although I do have a small tiny kitchen, I can really whip it up. Remember, if doesn't matter how nice or how big your kitchen is, the food still tastes the same. On the inside of one of my doors, I have a list of Measurement Conversion Chart for easy access.
I've learned with a small kitchen, you MUST be organized, otherwise your in trouble. I have filled my cabinets with plenty of gadgets from one of my many favorite stores.
On to my Test Recipe of the Day
I tried out this recipe and I just loved it! They are great for the holidays for adding in that special desert. Yes, they are a little bit of work, but so worth the effort.
- CHEESECAKE SQUARES 350 degrees for 30 minutes
- 2 8oz blocks of cream cheese
- 1.5 cups of sugar divided 1 cup, 1/2 cup
- 1 tea vanilla
- 1 tea cinnamon
- 2 packages of original crescent rolls
- 1 stick of butter
- 9 X 13 pan
- Beat together the cream cheese, 1 cup sugar, vanilla
- Lay one package of crescent rolls on the bottom of the pan, pinching together to seal the sections. Flatten out and fill bottom of pan.
- Layer in the filing on top of the crescent roll and spread.
- Top the with crescent rolls, pinching the seams together and layer and spread.
- Top with melted stick of butter, 1/2 cup sugar, 1 tea cinnamon and a splash of vanilla. Pour it all on top and bake.
Refrigerate and cut into small squares about 2x2
This is such a great recipe. You don't have to be too neat about it. It can be thrown together in minutes and I haven't met anyone who didn't like it. It's definitely a sure thing to bring to a party and people will be asking you for the recipe!
